Professor Chase H. Harrison, PhD

Professor Chase H. Harrison is Associate Director of the Program on Survey Research at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science at Harvard University, and Senior Preceptor in the Department of Government at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He has previously served as Principal Survey Methodologist and Director of Research Computing at the Harvard Business School, and also has worked at the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research and the Center for Survey Research and Analysis at the University of Connecticut.

He is an expert in survey research methodology and public opinion polling, and has more than 25 years’ experience designing and analyzing surveys. At Harvard, he teaches courses in survey methods and public opinion, and is responsible for providing survey research advising and consulting across the university. He has served on numerous committees for the American Association for Public Opinion Research. He received his B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from St. John’s College, and his M.A. in Political Science, Concentration in Survey Methods, and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut.
